I am beginning this blog as the blog “John – The Apostle of God” ended: Our heavenly Father sent His Word so we could begin co-laboring with the Spirit Who gives Life. So, we could receive godly Wisdom and Revelation, for the flesh conveys no benefit whatsoever – there is no profit in it. Our heavenly Father desires to bestow those things money could never purchase – peace of heart, peace of mind, godly contentment – as we delve into the words, and study the truths Jesus spoke for they are Spirit and they are Life revealing the most excellent way is being God-dependent on His Word and on His Spirit of Grace. For then we will know with certainty, a confident assurance Jesus is helping to support our raised right arm and Holy Spirit is supporting that raised left arm as we honor the Lord as King of Kings and Lord of Lords for the glory of the Father.
I pray as Holy Spirit points us to Jesus through the Word He imparted to John – the Apostle of God – we hear with our heart: Beloved, let us love one another! For love springs from God, and those who love – those in fellowship with our heavenly Father – are begotten – born – of God, and are progressively coming to know and understand God – to perceive and recognize and obtain a better and clearer knowledge of His Agape Love, His Word of Truth and His Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation (1 John 4:7).
John knew through personal experience of God’s Agape Love. He knew by personal experience Jesus, the Word of God full of Grace and Truth, became flesh and dwelt among us. He beheld how glorious the love of God and the Way the Truth imparts Life to those who place their faith and trust in the Only begotten Son of the Father (John 1:14).
And for those who are co-laboring with Holy Spirit so their faith would grow to be stronger than their fears, they will heed John’s warning as translated by the Message Bible: Watch out, you don’t want to lose what you have been working for! There are a lot of smooth-talking charlatans loose in the world who refuse to believe Christ is the Son of God. They refuse to believe Jesus was truly human, a flesh-and-blood human being. Give them their true title: Deceiver! Antichrist!
Be very careful around them so you don’t lose out on what we’ve worked so diligently with Holy Spirit for, I want you to receive every reward you have coming to you. Anyone who gets so progressive in their thinking they walk out on the teachings of Christ, walk out on God. But, whoever stays committed to the Lord’s teachings, stays faithful to both the Father and the Son.
So, consider carefully, if anyone should show up who doesn’t hold to God’s Word of Truth, don’t invite them in, don’t encourage them in anyway. For that would just give them a platform to perpetuate – honor, maintain, defend – their evil ways, making you a partner with them in their wickedness (John 2:7).
John dispensed a “Tough – robust, thriving, tenacious, unyielding, everlasting, imperishable – Love,” Knowing, believing, trusting God sent heaven’s Light as a Beacon, a safe Harbor where the brilliance of the Truth could not only be seen but would be clearly heard: Though the Agape Love of God is unconditionally bestowed throughout the world, only those with unconditional faith in the Father will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. For God is a Spirit, and Christ Jesus is the Truth.
And as He did for John, our heavenly Father blesses everyone who believes He and Jesus are One, by sending the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation. So, we would know and understand the Good Shepherd came that we may have life, and have it to the full (John 10:10). The Good Shepherd, Who laid His life down for God’s flock so we too could lay our life down as we remember Him, as we honor God’s Word, for there’s a depth of meaning that lies within the 23rd Psalm :
