He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood,
And His name is the Word of God!
Revelation 19:13
The Word of God is Christ Jesus, Who became flesh and made His dwelling among us. Christ Jesus, the One and Only, Who came from the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14). Who said, “For this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the Truth. Everyone on the side of Truth listens to Me,” John 18:37.
If we are allowing thoughts and feelings and experiences in this world to be our source of truth, then what is birthed comes from what is fickle and ever changing – our flesh. When we allow Holy Spirit to help us focus on things above, on what our heavenly Father bestows, then whatever belongs to our fleshly nature can be put to death (Colossians 3:5).
So don’t be deceived, beloved of the Lord. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, Who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through His Word of Truth (James 1:16-18).
How integral for us to consider the outcome of our way of life, and live by faith in the Son of God, Who loves us and gave Himself for us (Galatians 2:20).
Paul wrote, “We also thank God continually because, when the Word of God is received and accepted not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the Word of God, then the Lord, Who is the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18b) is working in those who believe (1 Thessalonians 2:13).
Reflect on what is being said, for the Lord will give you insight into all this (2 Timothy 2:7). For you are truly loved by the Lord! From the beginning God choose us for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the Truth, to which He called us by the Gospel, so we can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Thessalonians 2:13-15).
Those who are perishing are deceived
In every sort of evil.
They perish because they refused
To love the Truth and so be saved!
2 Thessalonians 2:10
