John: God So Loves the World

The Gospel of John is different from the other three Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke. Often called the “Spiritual Gospel,” since John tells the story of Jesus offering the world a deeper revelation of the Truth, God is Love (1 John 4:16), and He so loved mankind He sent His One and Only Son to reveal the Way to eternal Life (John 3:16).

John’s Gospel not only reveals the Truth, he reveals Jesus as the Truth, the Son of God; but also as the Word Who became flesh – His glory, His honor and His majesty was seen. Such glory as an only begotten Son receives from His Father, full of Grace and Truth (John 1:14). His Father and our Father making the Truth live and stay on in our heart to be with us forever.

Why? The desire of God’s heart is to share in a deep and personal relationship with us. That we would know and receive all the benefits of being in a relationship of intimacy, of commitment, of faithfulness with the only One Who is Good.

John shared a Message of Love, of our all-powerful Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Omnipresent God. As the condition of our world, our relationships, our very own soul has and does reveal, without God we can do nothing about the evil that dwells within – Vanity. God’s Word through the Spirit of Truth helps us to know, to understand, to believe, to trust and to discipline, train, practice and conform to the ways and the will of Love, because God is Love.

We need knowledge and understanding of God, of His Word and of our human condition, that nature of vanity that inflates us with hot air to use the freedom God has given us – a free-will – to rise as a god filled with self-importance, self-reliance, self-absorption, selfishness….so we will fall into pits of sorrow and despair, desperation and depression.

We are told now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror, then we shall see face to face. Now we know in part; then we shall know fully, even as we are fully known by God. Now these three remain: Faith – Hope – Love. But, the greatest of these is Love (1 Corinthians 13:12). Without Holy Spirit we would not hear the call of God. Without co-laboring with the Spirit of Truth we would not have access to the knowledge and understanding of the faith God bestows through His holy and precious Messenger, Christ Jesus.

Without the guidance of God’s Spirit of Grace we would never know, never understand, never believe God chose to make known to the world the glorious riches of the mystery He kept secret from before He set the clock of time ticking – the Hope of sharing in His glory is ours when Christ is in us (Colossians 1:26). God has given us Hope that never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for through His Word, through His Spirit of Life the love of our heavenly Father is poured out into our hearts. For Truth cannot be denied – while we were yet in weakness, powerless to help ourselves because of our human condition – vanity, sin, fear – God sent His Son, Christ Jesus, to die for and in the behalf of the ungodly (Romans 5:5).

How is it God so loves the world, but so many in this world refuse to recognize His Love, His Authority, His Power to accomplish the miraculous for us, in us and though us. For God chooses things the world considers foolish to shame those who think they are wise. He chooses the powerless to shame those who deem themselves powerful. He chooses the despised by the world, those counted as nothing at all and through those who co-labor with His Word and His Spirit of Truth brings to nothing what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God (1 Corinthians 1:26).

Yes, God so loves the world He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless (Isaiah 40:29). John’s Gospel is different from the other Gospels. John reveals God is Love. He reveals the Word is Jesus and without the Spirit of Truth we would be powerless to gain Wisdom and Revelation so we could become more than conquerors, because through Him Who loves us (Romans 8:36) we become overcomers.

Three Father, Son and Holy Spirit the Divine wholeness, completeness and Perfection of our Triune God. Three is also associated with the Resurrection of the Man Jesus, Who is God, and is alive and actively bestowing the Spirit of Grace to wield that double-edged sword of the Word to help Christ’s brethren of humanity overcome Vanity, Sin and Fear so we can receive God’s gift of eternal Life, but also freedom from the likes of guilt and shame and regret right here, right now during our life on earth.

John wrote to reveal through his writings the Completeness, the Perfection and the Divine Fulfillment of God’s Wisdom made known to us through His Word, Christ Jesus and His Spirit of Truth. John told of seven miracles Jesus performed. Although in John 21:25 he tells us, Jesus did many things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

John told us about the seven “I AM” statements Jesus declared about Himself. The number seven is a holy number used to represent spiritual perfection, completion and spiritual fullness all of which we receive from our heavenly Father when Jesus is dwelling in us. How amazing! How absolutely miraculous! God makes our Spirit perfect through His Word and sets His Spirit of Grace, of Life, of Truth, of Wisdom and Revelation in our spiritual being even though our soul remains tainted by sin and vanity and fear.

John wrote to tell of the seven churches so we would know Christ Jesus, the Word of God, is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). The Word, Who has been with God from the beginning, Who is the image of the invisible God, the Firstborn over all creation, Who created all things, Who is before all things, and Who in Him all things are held together, for Jesus has supremacy in everything because it pleased God to have all His fullness dwell in His Christ.

And through the Lord, our heavenly Father reconcile to Himself all things by making peace through the blood Jesus shed on that cross (Colossians 1:15).  And, by the same Word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly people (2 Peter 3:7).

But for those who place their faith, hope and love in the Lord, in God’s Word, with Holy Spirit’s help will rise on wings of eagles because they believe, they trust God says what He means and does what He says. He has given us His Word, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9. God is perfect, we don’t have to strive for perfection we can learn to rest our perfect imperfections under the shelter of His wings.

These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the ruler of God’s creation.

LAODICEA – A. D. 1900 – Present Day: I know your deeds, you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! Because you are lukewarm, I am about to spit you out of My mouth. You say, “I am rich; I have acquired wealth and need nothing.” But you do not realize you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes so you can see. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. Be earnest and repent!

To those who overcome I will give the right to sit with me on My throne, just as I overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Listen, for Holy Spirit says: “Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart (Hebrews 3:7). For out of God’s glorious riches, He may strengthen you with Power through His Spirit in your inner being, so Christ may dwell in your heart through faith. Faith to be rooted and established in Love, in God, with Power to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. To know and experience Love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God, Who is able to do immeasurably more than all you could ask or imagine, according to His Power, His Spirit of Truth, working in you. To Him be the glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever! (Ephesians 3:16). These are words of the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Ruler of God’s creation,” Revelation 3:14.

Who said to John, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place,” Revelation 4:1.

Father, I ask You to stretch out Your hand to heal
And perform miraculous signs and wonders
Through the name of your holy and precious
Servant Jesus!
