The Glory of the Lord: Salvation Through Christ

God sent His Word to give mankind the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of our sins (Luke 1:77). For like sheep, we have all gone astray. Each of us has turned to our own way. So, God laid on the Lord the iniquity of us all. The Lamb of God was led to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so too He did not open His mouth.

It was God’s will to crush Him and cause Him to suffer. The Lord’s life a guilt offering!  He was stricken, cut off from the land of living for the transgressions of the people. Assigned a grave with the wicked, though He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth (Isaiah 53:6-10).

This is what Jesus endured so those who believe, who place their faith and trust in Him would not have to endure eternity in the complete absence of Love and Mercy and Compassion.

The Word, the Seed of God, died to ensure as did Arron’s rod, God’s New Covenant would bud and blossom and flourish (Numbers 17:8). For the fruit harvested from this heavenly Vine not only produces Wine that gladdens the heart, and makes our face shine more than oil, but Bread to support, refresh and strengthen our heart (Psalm 104:15).

Holy Spirit has given these instructions: Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God Who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose (Philippians 2:12-13). A hard and calloused heart is familiar with the blood chilling touch of evil. God’s desire is for all people to know and experience how the love of Christ will transform those bleak sensations of fear into a heart-warming sense of devotion and reverence, admiration and respect, known as the Fear of the Lord.

God’s Word explains, “Yes, I am the Vine and you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I, the Word of Life, is living in them, they will bear much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me (cut off from that vital union of a personal relationship with Me) you can do nothing,” John 15:5 AMP. When we bear much fruit, our heavenly Father is honored and glorified, and we show ourselves to be true followers of Christ.

We cannot do anything against the Truth, but only for the Truth. Though our behavior and the choices we often regret making, may cause others to even question God and His goodness, just hold on to what He has given us – His Word. For the Lord, does not judge as others do, He repairs and refreshes and restores our soul, our inner health with His Word. For God’s Word leads us in the paths of righteousness for His name sake, not ours.

Yes, He is well aware of how often our heart has been wounded as we’ve walked through the valley of the shadow of Death (Psalm 23: 3-4a). But the Lord, He does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord He looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). For what is highly valued among people is detestable in God’s sight. God’s Word says, “You are the ones who justify (rationalize, excuse, defend) yourselves, but God knows your heart (Luke 16:15).

Yes, but God, He desires us to move our but and our butts out of the way, for He did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to save the world through Him. Praise God, for whoever believes in Jesus is not condemned (John 3:17-28).

God sends His Word, so we acquire knowledge (awareness, mindfulness, consciousness) the Lord is with us. We need not fear or dread evil. God’s Rod, the Branch, who branched out from His place to build the temple of the Lord (Zechariah 6:12) clothes her priests with salvation (Psalm 132:16). God’s Staff, His Word, guides and comforts us (Psalm 23:4b).

God’s Word and Christ Jesus cannot be separated for they are one and the same. When we accept Jesus as Savior we are accepting God’s Word as Lord, Who entrusts His servants with the secret things of God. Now the most important thing about a servant is they are faithful, reliable, possessing accurate knowledge so they do just what God’s Word tells them to do (1 Corinthians 4:2).

For God’s Word, Christ Jesus, fulfills all the promises of God. Our heavenly Father commissions (charges, enables, appoints, authorizes, empowers) His people to stand firm for Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20-21). For God always keeps His promises and is gracious in all He does (Psalm 145:13 NLT).

Those of us who trust God, who place our faith and hope and love in Him, He rescues and protects, for we believe and acknowledge the name of Jesus. When we call upon the Lord, He answers us. God’s Word is with us in trouble. Jesus delivers and honors God’s people and shows us His salvation (Psalm 91:15-16). For God sets His seal upon those He identifies as His own by placing Holy Spirit in our heart as the security deposit and guarantee of the fulfillment of His promise (2 Corinthians 1:22 AMP).

Yes, God is always working the miraculous for us and in us, for in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and we have been given fullness in Christ, Who is Head over every power and authority (Colossians 2:9-10). We must believe God’s Word and not doubt for our responsibility is to encourage what is right at all times, not to indulge ourselves in what is evil (2 Corithians 13:8).

Yes, the Lord knows every reason we do the many things we do because of tradition and ignorance that nullify and make void and of no effect the authority of the Word of God (Mark 7:13 KJV). We shouldn’t just tolerate our limitations; we should celebrate them, and then go on to celebrate every strength, every triumph of the Truth in us (2 Corinthians 13:8-9 Message).

God wants us to grow up, to know the Truth and follow His Word at all times so we become more and more in every way like Christ, Who is the Head of His body, the Church. Under His direction, the whole body is fitted together perfectly. Each part in its own special way helps the other parts (TLB).

How often we are guilty of hurting one another. Yet, God’s Word, Christ Jesus, works zealously to keep us in step with one another. His very breath and blood flows through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in Love (Ephesians 4:15-17 Message).

If we daily train and discipline ourselves to truly abide in God’s Word, holding fast to His teachings and living in accordance with them, not only will the Truth be known, but the Truth will also set us free (John 8:31-31 AMP) from the bindings of fear and deception and self-centered vanity. For what flows from the Word – Love and Mercy and Grace – is ever being written upon our heart and upon our mind.

Yes, our heavenly Father’s desire is to enrich His people in all things and in every way, so we can be generous, so thanksgiving and gratitude to God our Savior is brought forth (2 Corinthians 9:11 AMP). That we know and understand, that we believe and proclaim the Lord is binding up our griefs, our wounds, and healing the broken heart, so the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, can and will guard our heart and our mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7) by the power and authority of His Word.

Great is our Lord! Great is the power of His Spirit of Truth! His understanding is inexhaustible and boundless (Psalm 147:5 AMP).

Lord, stretch out Your hand to heal
And perform miraculous signs and wonders
Through the name of Your holy servant Jesus
