God’s Light: From Creation to Redemption

The Scriptures tell us:

  • God has put all things under the authority of Christ
  • For the benefit of the Church God made Jesus Head over all things
  • The body of Christ is made full and complete by Christ Jesus, Who fills all things everywhere with Himself
  • Jesus sends the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, to guide us into all truth
  • Holy Spirit does not speak on His own for all that belongs to God is Christ’s
  • Holy Spirit brings glory to the Lord by taking from God’s Word, from Jesus, and making it known to us

The word “Known” – a very interesting concept as is the word “Miraculous.”

In Isaiah 46:9-10 we are told God said:

“Remember the former things long past, for I am God, and there is no other. I am God, and there is no one like Me. Declaring the end from the beginning. And from ancient times things that have not been done. Saying, ‘My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure.’”

With this in mind, let us do as God instructs and remember from the beginning, for the first thing God revealed – Light shining out of darkness. For there was a war in heaven, and that ancient serpent, called the devil or Satan, was hurled out of God’s glorious kingdom (Revelation 12:7). God’s purpose established for those whose flesh would die, the miraculous Power of God gives Life to the dead and calls those things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17).

From the beginning, God was working to reveal how multifaceted His wisdom through His Word.

From the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Through Him all things were made. From the beginning God has been revealing His miraculous Power through His Spirit, Who hovers over what is void – worthless; what is formless – chaotic; and what is empty – meaningless and foolish: The darkness covering the earth.

God said, “Let Light shine out of darkness.” By the MIRACULOUS Power of God, the true Light shines forth to make KNOWN the glory of God is seen in His Word, the face of Christ Jesus, through Whom God sends His Spirit to make heaven’s Light shine in our heart (2 Corinthians 4:6 NLT).

Before God called the Light Day and the darkness night, He first thought of us.

To call His people out of darkness into His wonderful Light (1 Peter 2:9). That His glorious Light would open our eyes to Truth and turn us from the power of Satan to God, so we may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in His precious Son (Acts 26:18).

Lord, stretch out Your hand to heal
And perform miraculous signs and wonders
Through the name of Your holy servant Jesus
Acts 4:29-30
