May everything good from God our Father
Be yours!
Colossians 1:2 Message
Again, Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent Me, I am sending you.” And with that He breathed on them and said, “Receive Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone their sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven,” John 20:21-23
The Lord tells us, “I was born and came into the world to tell people the Truth. And everyone who belongs to the Truth listens to Me,” John 18:37b NCV). We are cleansed from our sins when we obey the Truth (1 Peter 1:22 NLT). And this is the Father’s command: Believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another (1 John 3:23).
The Son of God came so we could recognize and understand the Truth of God – what a gift! – and we are living in the Truth Himself, God’s Son, Jesus Christ. This Jesus is both True God and Real Life (1 John 5:10 Message).
Beloved, let’s not merely say we love each other; let us show the Truth by our actions. Our actions will show we belong to the Truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God. Even if we should feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and He knows everything (1 John 3:18-20 NLT).
And the God of our ancestors brought Jesus back to life again after being put to death by hanging on a cross. Then, with mighty power, God exalted Him to be a Prince and Savior, so people everywhere would have an opportunity for repentance, and for their sins to be forgiven. Holy Spirit, Who is given by God to all who obey Him, is a Witness of these things (Acts 5:30-32 TLB).
That those who obey God’s commands live in Him, and He in them. And this is how we know God lives in us: We know it by the Spirit He gives us
(1 John 3:23-24). Jesus is the Way and the Truth and the Life (John 14:6), He was filled with Holy Spirit (Luke 4:1).
God sanctifies us by the Truth; His Word is Truth! As the Father sent His Son into the world, the Lord sends us. Jesus said, “I sanctify Myself, that they too may be truly sanctified,” John 17:16-19.
“If you love Me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever – the Spirit of Truth,” John 14:15-17. “You will receive power when Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be My witnesses to the ends of the earth,” Acts 1:8.
“Father, I have given them the glory You gave Me,” John 17:22a. “Everything the Father has is Mine. And the Spirit of God will take the things that are Mine and will reveal them to you,” John 16:15 AMP. “Father, I have revealed You to them – the glorious unity of being One, as We are, I in them and You in Me.”
“Father, I want them with Me – those You’ve given Me – so they can see My glory. You gave Me this glory because You loved Me before the world began! Father, I will keep on revealing You to them so the mighty love you have for Me may be in them, and I in them,” John 17:22-26 TLB.
Yes, we are already clean because of God’s Word! “Remain in Me, and I will remain in you,” John 15:3. Therefore, what we have heard about God’s Word, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to us – guard it with the help of Holy Spirit Who lives in us (2 Timothy 1:13-14).
Jesus summed it all up when He cried out, “Whoever believes in Me, believes not just in Me but in the One Who sent Me. Whoever looks at Me is looking, in fact, at the One Who sent Me. I am Light that has come into the world so that all who believe in Me won’t have to stay any longer in the dark (John 12:44-46 Message).
We now have this Light shining in our heart, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure (2 Corinthians 4:7a NLT). But the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, Who comforts us in all our troubles (2 Corinthians 1:3-4) gives us the power of Holy Spirit through His Word, “Don’t be troubled or afraid. I am leaving you a precious gift – peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn’t fragile like the peace the world gives,” John 14:27 TLB.
“Don’t be afraid of those who can kill only your body – but can’t touch your soul! Fear only God Who can destroy both body and soul in hell. Those who publicly announce Me as their Friend, I will openly acknowledge them as My friend before My Father in heaven,” Matthew 10:28,32 TLB).
Who is wise? They will realize these things. Who is discerning? They will understand them. The ways of the Lord are right, the righteous walk in them (Hosea 14:9).
Be happy!
Grow in Christ!
Pay attention to what God’s Word has said!
Live in harmony and peace!
And may the God of love and peace be with you!
