The Word of God stands forever!
Isaiah 40:8
When the Lord had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, He lifted up His hands and blessed them. While He was blessing them, He left them and was taken up into heaven. Then they worshipped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God (Luke 24:50-53).
Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, is also where Jesus sent two of His disciples, “Go to the village, and you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden, bring it here,” Mark 11:2. Do not be afraid, O Daughter of Zion! See, your King is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt (John 12:15).
O Zion, you who bring Good Tidings, get up into the high mountain! Lift up your voice with strength! Lift it up, be not afraid! Say to the cities, “Behold your God!” Behold, the Sovereign Lord is coming in power! He will rule with a powerful arm.”
“Behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him! He will feed His flock like a Shepherd! He will gather the lambs with His arm and carry them close to His heart. He will gently lead those who are with young,” (Isaiah 40:9-12 NLT.
For the Lord has taken away the judgments against you! He has cast out your enemy! The King of Israel, even the Lord Himself, is in the midst of you! And after He has come to you, you shall not experience or fear evil anymore (Zephaniah 3 :15 AMP).
Know and be confident! The Lord is King forever and forever! Those who follow other gods shall be swept from His land! (Psalm 10:16 TLB). The Lord sat enthroned at the Flood! (Psalm 29:10a NKJV). And another time is quickly approaching, when there will be great distress upon the earth because of the increase of wickedness.
Distress unequaled from the beginning of the world until now – and never to be equaled again. For as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man (Matthew 24:3,21,37). But the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ and those who are still alive will be caught up together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air! And so, we will be with the Lord forever! (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 NKJV). Because the Lord gives strength to His people! The Lord blesses His people with peace (Psalm 29:10b NKJV).
So, why do the nations conspire, and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against His Anointed One. But the One enthroned in heaven laughs! The Lord scoffs at them! Then He rebukes them in His anger, and terrifies them in His wrath, “I have installed My King on Zion, My holy hill!” (Psalm 2:1-6).
No, the Lord God does not take pleasure in evil! However, with Him the wicked cannot dwell! He destroys those who tell lies! The blood-thirsty and deceitful the Lord abhors! But, by His great mercy, those He has made righteous will come into His house. In reverence and awe – in the fear of God – we will bow down and worship Christ Jesus, Who gives us peace with our heavenly Father.
O Lord, lead us in Your righteousness, make straight Your way before us (Psalm 5:2-). For You Lord know the hope of Your humble people. You hear our cries and comfort our heart by helping us. You are with the orphans and all who are oppressed, so that mere earthly men will terrify us no longer (Psalm 10:16-18 TLB).
With the Lord as our helper, why be afraid? What can man do to us? (Hebrews 13:6). The Lord is with us like a mighty warrior! Our persecutors will stumble and not prevail! They will fail and be thoroughly disgraced. Their dishonor will never be forgotten (Jeremiah 20:11).
But the children of God, belong to the Lord and we are living for Him (Romans 14:8). We should not be afraid; instead, quite content, for if we die, we will be at home with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8 TLB).
Wake up, you sleeping cities! Wake up, you sleeping people! The King of Glory is ready to enter! Who is this King of Glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, invincible in battle. Yes, open wide your eyes and let the King of Glory in. Who is this King of Glory? The Commander of all heaven’s armies! So open wide your heart and let the King of Glory in (Psalm 24:7- 10 Message). For the Lord desires to be with you, to be your Helper, so then you will look in triumph on your enemies (Psalm 118:7).
The Lord puts His name on His people and blesses us: “The Lord bless you and keep you! The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you! The Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace!” (Numbers 6:24-27).
“So, do not be afraid, for I am with you! I will bring God’s children from the east and gather them from the west. I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ I will bring My sons from afar, My daughters from the ends of the earth! Everyone who is called by My name, whom I created for My glory, whom I formed and made.”
“My witnesses! Let them say, ‘It is true!’ For My servants whom I have chosen, know and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me no god was formed, nor will there be one after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from Me there is no Savior! I have revealed and saved and proclaimed! I, and not some foreign god among the nations.”
“You are My witnesses that I am God! Yes, from ancient days I am He. No one can deliver out of My hand! When I act who can reverse it?” Isaiah 43:5-13.
“Therefore, If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayers they offer!” 2 Chronicles 7:14-15.
The Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, forgiving wickedness, rebellion, and sin. Yet, He does not leave the guilty unpunished (Exodus 34:5-6).
Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame!
The same Lord is Lord of all,
And richly blesses all who call on Him!
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord, will be saved!
Romans 10:11-13
