Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
Do not lean on your own understanding!
Proverbs 3:5
The Lord opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what My Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with Power from on high.” Luke 24:45-49.
Praise God, for the day has come when the deaf will hear the words of the scroll, and out of the gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind will see. Once more the humble will rejoice in the Lord, the needy will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel,” Isaiah 29:18-19.
These are the words of Him Who is holy and true, Who holds the key of David. What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open. “See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut,” Revelations 3:7. “I am that Door! Anyone who enters in through Me will be saved (John 10:9 AMP).
The Son of God has come to give us understanding, so that we may know Him Who is true (1 John 5:20). Praise and give thanks to God Who is true, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In His great mercy He has caused us to be born again into a living hope, because Jesus rose from the dead. Now we hope for the blessings God bestows on His children (1 Peter 1:3-4 NCV).
“Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Everything exposed by the Light becomes visible (Ephesians 5:13). “I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to Light, and from the power of Satan to God, so they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Me, God’s Word of Truth,” Acts 26:17-18.
Don’t ever forget the wonderful fact that Jesus was a Man, born into King David’s family, and that He is God, as shown by the fact He rose again from the dead. Because I have preached these great truths, I am in trouble and have been put in jail like a criminal. But the Word of God is not chained! And I am more than willing to suffer if that will bring salvation and glory in Christ Jesus, to those God has chosen (2 Timothy 2:8-10 TLB).
For salvation can be found in no one else! There is no other Name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). And I am comforted by this Truth: When we suffer and die for Christ it only means we will begin living with Him in heaven.
And if we think that our present service for Him is hard, just remember some day we are going to sit with Him and rule with Him. But if we give up when we suffer, and turn against Christ, then He must turn against us. Even when we are too weak to have any faith left, He remains faithful to us and will help us, because He cannot disown those who are part of Himself, and He will always carry out His promises to us (2 Timothy 2:11-13 TLB).
What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with doing and getting, so you can respond to God’s Being and giving. People who don’t know God and the way He works fuss over things, but the Word we share reveals God and how He works (Matthew 6:31-32 Message).
If the Good News we share is hidden to anyone, it is hidden from those who are on the road to eternal death. For Satan, who is the god of this evil world, has made them blind, so they are unable to see the glorious Light of the Gospel that is shining upon them or to understand this amazing message about the glory of Christ, Who is God (2 Corinthians 4:3-4 TLB).
When we preach about Christ dying to save them, the Jews are offended, and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense. But God has opened the eyes of those called to salvation to see Christ is the mighty power of God to save us (1 Corinthians 1:23-24a TLB); to make known to the whole world they are under the control of the evil one (1 John 5:19); to make known the children of God are under obligations, but not to our physical nature, to live under its control.
Those who live under the control of the physical nature will die. But if, by means of the Spirit, we put the body’s doings to death, we will live. For everyone who is guided by God’s Spirit are His sons (Romans 8:12-14 Goodspeed).
Our heavenly Father has blessings for His children that cannot be destroyed or be spoiled or lose their beauty, for they are kept in heaven for us. God’s power protects us through our faith in Christ until salvation is shown to us at the end of time (1 Peter 1:4b-5). Yes, Christ Himself is the center of God’s wise plan for our salvation.
The so-called “foolish” plan of God is far wiser than the wisest plan of the wisest people, and God in His weakness – Christ dying on the cross – is far stronger than anyone (1 Corinthians 1:23-25 TLB).
So, steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes (Matthew 6:34 Message).
So cast your burdens on the Lord, and He shall sustain you! He shall never permit the righteous to be moved (Psalm 55:22 NKJV). For our help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. We will not be defeated for He Who guards us never sleeps. He Who guards the children of God never rests or sleeps.
The Word of Truth guards us! Yes, the Lord will protect us from all dangers! He will guard our lives! The Lord will guard us as we come and go, both now and forever (Psalm 121:1-8 NCV). So let us rest in the Truth as we wait quietly before our God, for our hope is in Him.
He alone is our Rock and our Salvation, our Fortress where we will not be shaken, for our victory and honor come from God alone. He is our refuge, a Rock where no enemy can reach us. Let God’s children trust in Him at all times. Let us pour out our hearts to Him, for God is our refuge (Psalm 62:5-8 NLT).
So don’t be anxious or worry about tomorrow! God will take care of our tomorrows too. Live one day at a time (Matthew 6:34 TLB). Therefore, humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:6-7 NKJV).
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make straight your paths.
Fear the Lord, and turn from evil.
It will be healing to your flesh,
Refreshment to your bones!
